This past May, we had the absolute pleasure of capturing T+C’s unforgettable wedding at the stunning Carmel Fields Wedgewood in Carmel, California. Their special day was a beautiful blend of traditional Vietnamese customs and modern, personalized touches that made their celebration truly one-of-a-kind.
Before the western festivities, T + C started their day in a charming rented home nearby, where they honored T’s heritage with a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony. The morning was filled with laughter and joy as Colin’s party participated in lively door games, a playful challenge to win the bride’s hand. The couple looked absolutely radiant in their traditional ao dais.
As a token of appreciation, the couple gifted their bridal party with personalized presents—engraved knives for the groomsmen and custom initial bracelets for the bridesmaids. This thoughtful gesture set the tone for many heartfelt moments that followed throughout the day.
When it came time for the ceremony, T + C chose the picturesque Carmel Fields as their venue, surrounded by breathtaking views and the natural beauty of the valley’s mountains. They exchanged vows beneath a stunning floral arch, while guests cheered them on, armed with bubble guns for a fun ceremony recessional.
The couple’s love for their dog Luna was absolutely evident in the delightful details they incorporated into their reception. Their wedding cake featured a charming corgi dog topper adorned with baby’s breath flowers, and custom napkins featuring Luna’s face added a playful touch to the reception. Luggage tag holders were hung as a creative seating chart & doubled as guest gifts tying into their love for travel as a couple.
Just before dinner, guests were treated to an electrifying surprise—a traditional lion dance performance that brought energy and excitement to the evening. The dance floor was packed all night, with friends and family celebrating under the stars, dancing the night away in true party style.
