We are just as shocked as you are that we’ve posted so many blog posts in the last month! Hoping to share more work & this was one of our wedding adventure highlights from last spring! If you asked us a year ago, I don’t think Jackson nor I would have said we would have had the chance to witness so many beautiful ceremonies – both big & small as well as local & out of state. We are so so so grateful to all of our #PhotofloodStudio family for the moments you all have & continue to share with us <3 Here’s to us finally getting a chance to share with the world some of the beautiful, raw & important memories.
When Lan & Lawrence, a couple with amazing taste in food + style (oh & also in engagement rings, her beautiful Anna Sheffield round rosette ring is a stunner) asked us to tag along with them to Hawaii to photograph their wedding weekend, of course we couldn’t say no! We had the best time photographing their adorable San Francisco engagement session featuring the cutest vintage red VW bus (that post will be up soon) + their adorable bulldog, Kingston. Reuniting with them while joining in with their family & friends in Oahu was so wonderful for us to be a part of.
Their stunning venue, Lanikuhonua Phase 2, sits right at the edge of the island in Kapolei where Paradise Cove Beach is literally steps away from their ceremony site. Planning a destination wedding is no easy task but with a ton of help from their amazing day-of-coordinator, Gabriella from Bella Weddings & Events along with all of the wonderful vendors their jam-packed event-filled weekend was a breeze. There were also so many amazing details that made us want to have a modern tropical-inspired wedding ourselves! From their self-forged wedding bands, baby pineapple bridesmaid bouquets, to the gold geometric table decor, the groom’s Darth Vader metal cufflinks & the super rad hand-drawn caricature escort card wall – everything was so thoughtfully curated by the bride & groom. What a weekend we had celebrating on not one but 3 days of fun & not a bad place to celebrate Jackson’s birthday afterwards 😉 And now we’re off again to Hawaii but this time, Maui for another beautiful wedding!
