Jen & Vincent were living on opposite coasts – one in San Francisco & the other in New York City. Hence a lantern-lit surprise proposal at dusk was the perfect choice for Vincent to pop the big question to Jen.
Being based in New York City & having little knowledge of the city’s best landscapes it was a bit tough when it came to planning the surprise. So he teamed up with the amazing planners at A Modest Proposal to put together the perfect plan. A beautiful walk down memory lane leading up to a lantern lit tree all the while being surrounded by the Palace of Fine Arts’ majestic columns.
A Modest Proposal did a wonderful job of setting everything up from the walkway all the way to the end point for the surprise. Crowds gathered & whispered with smiles as they recognized the two from photos on the easels had arrived.
Jen & Vince walked to each frame — reliving distant vacation trips, major milestones & funny first dates until their destination was in sight. Beneath the glimmering tree, he bent down on one knee to ask her if she’d accept his hand in marriage. With a huge smile & a hug Jen accepted. Both strangers + our entire team cheered loudly with great excitement & deep gratitude in being able to witness such a blessed moment.

Cheers to Jen & Vincent!
