Who is this handsome gentleman? Well, it’s the infamous Jackson of course 🙂 I’m so proud of him for working his butt off these past few years of college & I cannot be more ecstatic for him to finally be done with school! As mentioned in one of my earlier posts [see Vivian + Jonathan | Sweetheart Session], Jackson & I have been dating for 5 years & doing a “California long-distance” relationship from San Luis Obispo to San Diego. Both places have pretty much become our homes away from home. I’ve fallen in love with SLO just as much as I have with San Diego & will dearly miss being in both cities as often as
I was.
Here’s a random fact – we actually toured this campus together four years ago, as we had both been accepted into Poly as freshmen. However, the day we visited the weather was completely horrible with freezing cold rain & windy storms pouring down on us the entire time. I definitely was left with a not-so-positive impression of SLO after that. But two years later, I actually tried reapplying in order to transfer & to study in Cal Poly’s GRC (graphic design & communications) program. I wasn’t able to get in due to the high amount of freshmen entering that year, but it was definitely a sign that God needed us to be in two different cities at the time. But that didn’t mean I wouldn’t make my fair share of early morning drives up to Central California to visit 😉
We were able to sneak in a quick family & this senior portrait session on campus while simultaneously moving out all of Jackson’s stuff from the Poly Canyon Village apartments. I love my man & boy is he stylish, but I think he has more clothes than I do… haha.
Four & a quarter years later, Jackson can officially say he studied at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo within the Civil Engineering field & passed his exam to become a certified EIT (Engineer in Training)! Congrats Jackson, I’m so proud of you & can’t wait for you to be able to wear J.Crew to work everyday 😉
