• Welcome to Photoflood Studio

Anchored in hope & saved by Grace.

Photoflood Studio, founded by Courtney Yee, is a San Francisco & San Diego, California based wedding + lifestyle photographer.

We believe in love & laughter. We believe life needs to be documented & stories should be shared. Adventures are always out there, it's up to us to discover them. Here at Photoflood Studio we want to get to know you while photographing you in places & with people you love.

Just a few snapshots from Field Trip 2015: 5 days, 4 nights in El Capitan Canyon – Santa Barbara, California. A ton of photographers, videographers + creatives in the woods sharing lessons learned, warm meals, internal reflections & hugs.

Wishing I had taken more photos on the trip but my brain was being overloaded with so much & a huge part of me being present there was to reflect & absorb while being unplugged.

A huge shout out to the amazing minds who put this gathering together & for the opportunity to be among such a crazy talented + inspiring community.

Lastly, thanks to Ben Sasso & Katch Silva for being such open mentors to us & to these two beautiful souls, Halie + Alec, for braving dozens of cameras being pointed at them all at once.

Photoflood Studio | Kinsley James Bridal Couture Salon VIP Session Photography

We were lucky enough to get the chance to visit our dear friends at the gorgeous Kinsley James Bridal Salon in Walnut Creek. It was exciting to get to photograph their very first #KJVIP bridal session while Sareh Nouri was doing a trunk show! With her hair done-up & donning a comfy robe, the beautiful bride-to-be, Lisa, brought her Matron of Honor & her mother to help pick out the perfect wedding gown of her dreams while indulging in some bubbly & scrumptious sweet treats.

Read More about Lisa’s experience on the Kinsley James Blog here

Afterwards, we were so stoked to find out that the session was being published in the premiere issue of Diablo Weddings Magazine!

I love how photography can reconnect you with people you haven’t seen in a while. A new year means new beginnings including the birth of new chapters in our lives. One of the best feelings you can have when catching up with someone you haven’t seen in a while, is to find out that during the time in which you have lost touch, they have been taking small steps towards making big changes for the communities around them.

Meet Olivia — an amazingly dedicated young woman, with the biggest smile that radiates directly from her huge heart for social change. 5 years ago we were graduating from high school with vague ideas of where we would be today. There is no doubt in my mind that an inspired & determined drive to make an impact on the world really sparked throughout her college years. The flames that are constantly fueled from her vibrant spirit now motivates Olivia to help lead a team of powerful women entrepreneurs that promote health, fitness, and self-love to at-risk girls through their foundation, The Live Well Project.

She asked if I could take some photos + head shots of her here in the city where we both grew up. The hustle & bustle of metropolitan San Francisco can truly be inspirational. Before shooting, she brought me up to speed on her international & local experiences that inspired her. The shoot was nothing less than the luminous radiance she omitted even after a period of constant rain storms here in the city. I could not be more supportive of the big plans she has in store & cannot wait to see what she pioneers in the years to come!
